The Phoenix Private School House System
At Phoenix Private School, the House system is an integral part of everyday life. More than just a structure for competition, it’s a vital community where students and staff connect, collaborate, and grow together.
The Four Houses
Every pupil and member of staff is placed into one of four Houses upon joining the school:
Living Our Vision Through the House System
The House system brings our mission and values to life by encouraging all pupils to:
-
Engage in diverse and enriching opportunities
-
Participate in healthy, respectful competition
-
Develop a strong sense of community and belonging
-
Show kindness and compassion for others
A Year-Round Calendar of Opportunities
Throughout the year, students take part in a wide variety of House competitions that celebrate many talents and interests. Events range from:
-
Sports tournaments
Pupil-led activities designed and run by the students themselves
-
Staff actively participate alongside students, setting a strong example of teamwork, enthusiasm, and school spirit.
Points, Recognition, and the House Cup
House Points are a core part of our school-wide reward system. They are earned for:
-
Excellent academic work and effort
-
Positive behaviour and contribution in class
-
Acts of kindness and community engagement
Enthusiastic participation in House events
Our annual all-through Sports Day is a major highlight, contributing to the final House Point tally and bringing the school together in a celebration of energy, spirit, and teamwork.
At the end of the academic year, the House with the highest total is awarded the prestigious House Cup—a mark of excellence, pride, and collective achievement.
