PPS PTA

What is the PTA

PTA stands for Parent, Teacher Association. The PTA encourages parent, teacher, student, and community involvement, and forms a partnership with our schools to improve the educational experience.

PTA at PPS

CHILDREN BENEFIT
Research shows that children perform better when parents are engaged in education, both at HOME and at SCHOOL. Parental involvement boosts student's achievement. By joining the PTA, your child will see first-hand the importance you place on education. PTA is the largest advocacy organization in the country, and advocates for ALL children.

SCHOOLS BENEFIT
PTA provides support for administrators and leaders. It strives to create a positive and caring atmosphere in the school. It also addresses issues that are important to parents and public
schools and administrators. PTA partners with a variety of programs that enhance schools. It advocates for funding and issues that affect various aspects of education and student well-being.

MAKE CONNECTIONS
PTA involvement helps you stay connected with the school and allows you to gain a broader perspective of how you can play a supportive role. You also make connections with other parents, business partners, and agencies that share a common goal of student achievement. Working together helps build a stronger foundation for students to grow and thrive. PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child's school.

IT IS GOOD FOR YOU
Volunteering with your PTA allows you to contribute your skills and knowledge for the benefit of, not only your child, but for your school community. PTA can help you gain expertise as a leadership volunteer, build your resume, and make friends for life.

I’m an English teacher by training. I’m an Egyptian American. I came to Qatar 8 years ago.  I’m a mother of a year 7 student who joined the school since he was in foundation year. I volunteered in the school three years ago. This is the second time for me to be a PTA member. I’m looking forward to working with the other parents to support the school and our community.

We are new to the PPS Family but we've heard many good things about the PPS community. Indeed that is exactly what we felt when we joined earlier this year, a warm welcoming family across the school. By joining the PTA, I hope to be able to contribute to make PPS even more enjoyable and beneficial for our children and the community in general.

I have 2 children in Phoenix private school. As a PTA member I like to bring a more healthy and friendly environment, where my goals will be analysing pupils school life and introduce new systems or ides to help them to prepare for school life and more importantly after school life.

Hi PPS family, I have two boys in PPS . Omar in year 6B and Mahmoud in year 1B. I’m very happy to be part of Phoenix PTA. We are looking forward to make a lot of challenges and hard work to support our children and our school. As a PTA, we hope to hold many wonderful events and interesting challenges on campus this year. I hope this year will witness positive changes that will impress our children and families through cooperation between the school. Finally PPS is not just school, it is our own second home.
