Phoenix Private School has been recognised by the Global School Alliance for its outstanding commitment to providing students with a global perspective and has been awarded the prestigious Bronze Level Global School Award.

The Global School Awards are a supportive and motivational framework that guides and supports schools through their international work. With three certified levels of recognition, the Awards programme takes schools from introducing international work to the curriculum, to embedding it within the school’s culture and wider ethos.

Supporting and celebrating the global dimensions of teaching and learning have always been at the heart of the work of the Global School Alliance so that all students can gain the skills, knowledge and experiences required for living and working in todays globalised and interdependent world.

On hearing the news that Phoenix Private School had achieved this recognition, Principal, Faheem Mohammed said:

With over 50 nationalities represented in our school community, diversity is at the heart of Phoenix Private School. Through curriculium activities, assemblies and student-led initiatives, we prepare learners to think critically, act ethically, and engage confidently with the world.

Schools are supported to following an accessible methodology to encourage the development of links with partner schools around the world, enhance the curriculum and prepare students for life as global citizens.

Schools working on the programme produce an action plan for integrating international activities into the classroom, and then produce evidence to show that they have carried out these activities. The school is guided and advised throughout the process and schools are awarded the Global School Award if they meet the standard.
